Stephanie Lynn Vaughan

DOWNEY – Stephanie Lynn “Nee-nee” Vaughan, precious 4-year-old daughter of Shane J. and Michele Lynn Vaughan, returned home to her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, July 21, 1998, following an auto accident near Downey.
Stephanie was born September 13, 1993, in Pocatello. She attended Downey Elementary Preschool for two years. She loved to learn. She loved her classmates and was a joy to all who knew her. She had a special love for people. Her sweet smile and laughter will be greatly missed. She also enjoyed her church Primary class and teachers.
She is survived by her parents, Shane and Michele Vaughan, Downey; her older sister, Chelsie Nicole Vaughan, and younger brother, Matthew Shane Vaughan, both of Downey; a grandmother, Donna Rae Vaughan, Downey; a grandfather, Gordon Lee Poisel, Pocatello; a grandmother, Denise Lillegaard, Leminon, South Dakota; two great-grandmothers, Lucile Poisel, Portland, Oregon, and Wilma Lillegaard, Leminon, South Dakota; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. We love you, Stephanie.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Harold “Johnny” Vaughan, one great-aunt, Helen M. Cahoon, and great-grandparents.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, July 27, 1998, at noon in the Downey LDS Chapel, with Bishop Coy Pratt of the Downey Second Ward officiating.
Interment will be in the Lava Hot Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Sunday evening, July 26, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at her Uncle Mike’s home, 3470 East Woodland Road, west of Downey on the old Malad Highway, and Monday from 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at the church.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Manning-Wheatley Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave., Pocatello.
