Shirley Ravsten Doutre

On January 20, 1997, Shirley returned home to her Father in Heaven where she was joyfully greeted with open arms and a big smile from her youngest son, Clifford, whom she greatly missed.
She fought a very short but courageous battle with ovarian cancer for four months.
She was born to wonderful parents, Scott and LaReeda Ravsten on March 7, 1951.
She married Edward Michael Doutre on April 5, 1980.
She was the most wonderful mother to her five children: Sharadee, Brent, Scott, Clifford and Todd. She always showed unconditional love for them and was always there for them anytime they needed her to be.
Her biggest pride and joy on this earth were her four grandchildren: Tyler, ShaDalle, Hailee and Bryson. She loved her grandchildren more than anything and they couldn’t have had a better grandma.
Shirley enjoyed doing many things, especially crafts and tole painting in which she had a great talent for. She was perfectionist at anything she did and accomplished anything she set her mind to. Most of all she enjoyed it when her family was all together and she could be with them.
At the time of her death, Shirley was employed at the Internal Revenue Service and because of her cheerful personality and friendliness, she had many friends that loved her and will deeply miss her.
Shirley was a member of the LDS Church in which she held position in the Primary and Young Women’s organizations.
Shirley was a wonderful person. She was not judgmental and was friendly to whomever she came in contact with.
She is survived by her husband, Mike, her children: Sharade (Dale) Barnett; Brent (Pam) Doutre; and Scott Doutre, all of Ogden; Todd (Jackie) Doutre, Green River, Wyo.; her grandchildren: Tyler, ShaDelle, Hailee and Bryson.
Also surviving are her parents of Tremonton; her mother and father in law Lela and Edward Doutre, also of Tremonton; her brothers: Kurtiss (Wendy) Ravsten, Brigham City; Kelly (Avis) Ravsten, and Kevin Ravsten, both of Seattle, Wash.; her sisters, Susan (Kent) Miller, Fielding, Utah; Shelly (Ed) Tarbet, Plymouth, Utah; Shawna (Troy) Harris, Logan; one grandmother, Leah Ravsten, Clarkston, Utah and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her youngest son, Clifford Reed Doutre who also died of cancer on Sept. 29, 1995.
