Shawnta Sweeten Ward

Shawnta Sweeten Ward, 29, wife of Larin E. Ward of Arbon., Idaho, passed away at home in Arbon on April 1, 2007 of complications from a seizure.

Shawnta was born December 31, 1977, to Denver and Lucinda Lewis Sweeten, and entered life as a triplet, with her brother, Seth and sister Shellise.

She attended Malad Schools graduating from Malad High School in 1996. She worked as a lifeguard at the LaGrande Aqua Plunge in Malad and was a CNA at the Oneida County Long Term Care facility before marrying her sweetheart.

She married Larin Ward, October 26, 1996, in the Logan LDS Temple. They made their home in Arbon, Idaho, where they have lived since they were married. They have been blessed with 4 children, Katie Shay (8), Kooper Larin (5), Mattie Jennifer (3), Morgan Lewis (1).

Shawnta was one of those special spirits who took care of all of us, who had time while raising four children to stop and talk to a friend or help someone out. She has touched countless lives and will be so missed by all who knew her.

Shawnta is survived by her husband, Larin Ward; her four children; parents, Denver and Lucinda Sweeten; four brothers: Seth (Jamie) Sweeten, Challis Sweeten, Colter Sweeten and Cree Sweeten; three sisters: Shellise (Manuel) Arias, Rexburg, Idaho; Nicona (Parker) Venable, Corinne, Utah, and Sadie Rae Sweeten of Malad; grandparents: Helen and Hyrum Peterson, Ogden, Utah; grandmother, Margaret Thomas; grandparents, Elbert and Joyce Sweeten; and numerous aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews; father- and mother-in-law, Vance and JoAnn Ward, Arbon, Idaho.
