Funeral services for Thomas Veurlam Daniels, age 85, former Malad resident who died Monday of a long illness in a Bell Garden, California hospital, were held Saturday, January 15, 1966, at the Benson Funeral Home with Counselor Raiford G. Benson officiating.
Prelude music was played by Mrs. Ruth Jenkins and Ann; invocation, Espy Thomas; vocal solo, Lonny Gleed; obituary and remarks, Russell Jenkins; speaker, Dale Daniels; violin selection, Ann Jenkins; benediction, Thomas D. Evans; postlude music, Norma Gleed. Accompanists were Norma Gleed and Mrs. Ruth Jenkins.
Concluding rites were at the Malad City Cemetery with Bishop Lon W. Corbridge offering the dedicatory prayer.
Casket bearers were Jerry Hogan, Brad Johnson, Charles Warner, Harold Jenkins, Russell Jenkins and Jerry Parkard.
Mr. Daniels was born Oct. 19, 1880, at Malad, a son of Thomas David and Elizabeth Dives Daniels.
He married Jennie Jenkins in 1912 at Malad. They were later divorced.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survivors include two sons and three daughters: Boyce L. Daniels, Bountiful, Utah; William C. Daniels, Firth; Mrs. Thelma Oertle, Bell Garden, Calif; Mrs. Walter (Hazel) Bagshaw, Idaho Falls, and Mrs. Glenn (Estella) Johnson, Salt Lake City, ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a brother, Albert Daniels, Pocatello.
