Ruth Arsula Dudley Evans, 88, passed away November 10, 2013 at a local care center. She was born July 24, 1925, the oldest of three children of Moses and Delia Dudley in Malad, Idaho. She graduated from Malad High School in 1943 and went on to graduate from the LDS Business College in Salt Lake City. She met her future husband, William Anthony Virtue while working for Western Union in Mountain Home. They were married December 24th, 1945 and together had two children, Ann and Michael. Her husband passed away in 1959. She married Marion Evans in April of 1973. They were later divorced. In her younger years she worked as a librarian at the AEC (later known as the INL). She retired after serving as librarian at the Oneida County Library in Malad. She was a member of the LDS Church. She loved reading, word puzzles, crafts, sewing, and cooking. She was a thoughtful and caring person, unselfish and gregarious. She loved to meet people and associate with them. Survivors include her children Ann (Kelvin) Smith, Pocatello, Idaho, and Michael (Mary Lu) Virtue, Blackfoot, Idaho, six grandchildren, Brian, Eric, Kara, Jamen, Michelle, Kimberly, Ryan, and Laura, and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson Todd Flynn. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 14th, 2013 at Colonial Funeral Home.
