Our loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Ruby Bills Crump, 80, passed away on April 19, 2000, surrounded by her family.
She was born September 13, 1919 in Riverton, Utah, to Annie Victoria Crane and Bertie Melvin Bills, the third of eight children. She grew up in Riverton and graduated from Jordan High School. She married Elden Hamilton Crump May 31, 1944. They were later sealed in the Jordan River Temple and were lifelong sweethearts. She worked for 30 years in the Salt Lake County Library System. Elden and Ruby enjoyed fishing in the summer and snowmobiling in the winter with their family and friends. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Ruby was a member of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many different church callings. She especially loved the church hymns and Primary songs.
She is survived by her daughter, Noreen ( Max ) Park, and son, Blaine ( Marianne) Crump all of Malad, Idaho; seven grandchildren: Paulette ( John ) Hoyt, Jennifer ( Brian) Bailey, Anthony (Jamie) Park, Coby Crump, Justin ( Kim) Crump, Courtney ( Jason) Wilson, and Jeffery Crump; six great- grandchildren: Zackary and Allyson Hoyt, Madison, Abbigail Ruby and Emma Bailey, and Riley Anthony Park; two sisters and four brothers: Lola Schouten and Fern (Lowell) Cardwell of Midvale, Utah; Floyd ( Evelyn) Bills, Elmo ( Beth) Bills, Leon ( Thelma) Bills all of Riverton, Utah; and Milton ( Gayle) Bills of Fontana, California. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Elden and a brother, Willard ( Jessie) Bills.
Funeral services were held Monday April 24 at the St. John 2nd Ward LDS Chapel.
