Funeral Friday for Roy L. Shipley, age 64

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in the Malad Second LDS Ward Chapel for Roy L. Shipley, age 64, who died Tuesday at Oneida Hospital after an extended illness.

Burial will be in the Chesterfield, Idaho cemetery.

Mr. Shipley was born May 6, 1909 at Idaho Falls, a son of Carlson E. and Martha Ward Shipley. He married Oclella Croney, Nov. 30, 1932, at Bancroft.

Mr. Shipley was a graduate of Bancroft High School and of Utah State University, Logan, where he received a degree in range management in 1937. He was employed by the U.S. Soil Conservation Service for 33 years with duty in Utah, Idaho and Hawaii. He retired in January, 1970. He was a member of the LDS Church.

Surviving are his widow, Malad; two sons, Dean, Bozeman, Mont.; bruce, Pocatello; five grandchildren; one brother, Mike Shipley, Lava Hot Springs.

Friends may call at Benson Funeral Home Thursday evening and Friday prior to services.
