Apple Valley, California- Ronald Dean Tarbet, 71, died Monday, January 2, 1995, in Apple Valley, California.

He was born November 3, 1923, in Amalga, a son of Kumen and Maude Elizabeth Dahle Tarbet. He married MarDell Fransen; they were later divorced.

Mr. Tarbet was a 20 year veteran of the U.S. Army and had served in WWII, the Korean Conflict and in Vietnam. He had lived in Utah, Guam, Illinois, Virginia, Missouri, Germany, Washington, and California. His business was core drilling and concrete setting.

Surviving are two daughters and one son and their spouses, Ruth T. and L. Scott Erickson, Beaver dam; Edward Dean and Shelly Tarbet, Plymouth; Ginny Lue and Jim Christensen, Portage; 12 grandchildren, two brothers, Lee War Tarbet and Ray Tarbet both of Hurricane. He was preceded in death by one grandchild, a twin sister and one brother.

Funeral services were held Saturday, January 7 at Rogers and Taylor Funeral home in Tremonton. Burial was in the Garland Cemetery where military honors were accorded by the American Legion Honor guard.
