Roger Larry Dorius (Birth 9 Apr 1971/Death 18 Nov 1990)

Kaysville, Utah – Roger Larry Dorius, 19, passed away November 18, 1990 of cancer.

Roger was born April 9, 1971 in Ogden, Utah, a son of Larry F. and Sherrill Dean Hall Dorius.

Roger was a lifelong resident of Kaysville where he graduated from Davis High School in 1989. He excelled as a High Honor Graduate and music Sterling Scholar. He was president of the Seminary Council, Drum Major and a member of the Madrigals.

Roger was an active Elder in the Kaysville 20th LDS Ward where he had served in numerous callings and had accepted a call to the Texas Fort Worth Mission.

He was an Eagle Scout with numerous Palms. He was honored as a Varsity and Explorer Scout of the Year for the Francis Peak District and the Lake Bonneville Council.

His greatest desire in life was to serve a mission, for which he was so well prepared.

Roger was attending Utah State University on an academic and music scholarship and was studying mechanical engineering.

He enjoyed outdoor sports, restoring antique cars, playing the saxophone and piano.

Roger was the most considerate and caring person of those around him.

Surviving are his parents, five brothers and one sister, Wade, Kirk, Val, Mitchell, Matt and Amy, all of Kaysville, Utah; grandparents, Elmer and Fern Hall, Garland, Utah; Floyd and Laura Dorius, great-grandmother, age 101, Grace Carter, all of Lewiston, Utah.

Funeral services were held November 23,1990 at the Mutton Hollow Stake Center, in Kaysville, Utah.
