ROBERT L. THOMAS, 80, DIED MONDAY IN UTAH

Robert L. Thomas, age 80, died April 9, 1973 of natural causes in the Salt Lake City Veterans Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday in the Malad LDS Third Ward Chapel with Bishop Phil Gillies officiating. Friends may call at Benson Funeral Home Thursday evening and Friday prior to services. Burial will be in Malad City Cemetery.

Mr. Thomas was born June 18, 1892 at Malad, a son of David Davis and June Roberts Thomas. He married Juanita (Oneita) Stowe Jan. 1, 1923 in Malad. A retired farmer, he was a member of the LDS Church, veteran of World War I, and a member of the American Legion, Ernest W. Jones Post No. 65.

Surviving are his widow, Malad; five sons, Robert Grant, Blackfoot; Gordon L., Twin Falls; William E., US Navy Seabees, GTMO Bay, Cuba; Darrell D., Ronald Lamont, Malad; three daughters, Norma Thomas, Malad; Mrs. Glenn (Lorraine) Starkey, LeGrand, OR; Nola Jean Thomas, Brigham Young University student, Provo; 24 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
