Ray W Jones, 88, a 53 year San Carlos Peninsula resident, died Sunday, August 1, 1993, in Belmont after a long illness.

He was the son of David W. Jones and Maria Williams. He was born in Malad. He moved to San Carlos 47 years ago. He retired in 1970 after 20 years with Granat Brothers Jeweler, and was a member of Sons of Retirement.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Ruby; sons Ray, Sandy, Utah; Gary, Red Bluff, California; Jay in Pleasanton, California, and Duane in San Carlos; 18 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

No services were held at Mr. Jones’ request. Interment was in San Carlos.
