 Ralph Douglas “Dobe” Jones, 75, of Malad, died Saturday, January 14, in the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City. He was born September 18, 1919 in St. John, a son of George W. and Lillian Parry Jones.
 He attended school in Malad and later served in the Armed Forces during World War II, where he received two purple hearts, one in the African Campaign and one in Sicily.
 On July 19, 1946, he married Dorthy Lavon Malouf. For many years he had farmed and ranched in Pleasantview and had also worked in Garland Sugar Factory. He was a member of the L.D.S. Church.
  He is survived by his wife, Dorthy, of Pleasantview; two children, Jerry D. Jones and Mrs. Rodney (Alice ) Moon both of Malad; three grandchildren, Neal, Mindy and Tim Moon of Malad; two sisters, Lillian Leavitt of Malad and Mrs. Elmer V. (Edith) Ward of Arborn; one brother, Zeph Jones of Pocatello. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and three sisters.
  Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 18 at 12 noon in the Malad LDS 2nd Ward Chapel. Burial was in the Malad City Cemetery,  with Military Rites by the Malad American Legion, Ernest W. Jones Post #65.
