MALAD-Rachel Mae Peabody Williams, 85, of Malad, passed away Saturday, November 4, 1995, in the Oneida County Nursing Home.

She was born March 16, 1910, in Malad, a daughter of Jacob and Martha Lusk Jones Peabody. She married Berton Elliott Williams on December 14, 1927 in Malad, and their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple. Mr Williams died July 3, 1978.

She was reared and educated in Malad, where she was a lifetime resident. Mrs. Williams was an active member of the LDS Church, where she served in the Relief Society and Primary. She was also member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, and the American War Mothers.

She is survived by three sons and wives, Dee Jay and Hannah Lou Williams of Malad, Berton Elliott Williams of North Salt Lake City, Utah, David Delmont and Lavee Williams of Twin Falls, Idaho; six daughters and their husbands, Ila Mae and Dewey Cunningham of Downey, Connie and James V. Harris of Boise, Colleen and Gene G. Richards of West Valley, Utah, Linda Lee and Roy Synder of Tooele, Utah, Patericia A. and Jack Bracken of Orem, Utah; 38 grandchildren, 81 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Thorold Peabody of Baker, Oregan; two sisters, Rosetta Pingle of Malad, and Sylvia Shaffer of West Valley, Utah. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one sister, two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 8, 1995 , at 11 a.m. In the Malad LDS Fifth Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Benson-Horsley Funeral Home, 132 W. 300 N. Malad, and on Wednesday at the funeral home from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at the Malad City Cemetery.
