Funeral at Stone for O.K. Stocker
Funeral services were conducted Friday at the Curlew LDS Chapel for Oliver K. (O.K.) Stocker, age 84, who died Dec, 2nd at the McKay Hospital in Ogden.
Bishop Thomas Larkin officiated, Speakers were George Neal, Bishop Harvey Harris, Bishop Chauncey Funk and Bishop Larkin. Family prayer was offered by Edwin Harris; invocation, Alma Larkin; benediction, Bishop Blaine Hickman. Special musical numbers were a ladies trio, Bonnia Anderson, Rennis Larkin and Thea Larkin accompanied by Uarda Larkin; solo, Doyle Cutler, accompanied by Rennis Larkin, who also played the prelude and postlude music.
Burial at Snowville was directed by Rogers Mortuary. Casket bearers were Arthur Stocker, George Neal, Jess Showell, Bill Mills, Gale Neal and Alden Neal.
Flowers were arranged by members of the Curlew Ward Relief Society.
Mr. Stocker was born July 12, 1884 at Youngstown, Ohio. His parents died while he was very young and he was reared by an older sister. he worked for the railroad for many years and then became interested in insurance.
He married Olivia Crockett of Treasureton, Idaho in 1913 and they lived at Black Pine until 1937 when they moved to Stone. Mrs. Stocker died in August, 1951. He is survived by one son, Arthur, Stone.
