Norma Schofield Hulse

MALAD — Norma Schofield Hulse, 74, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, returned to her loving heavenly father on Tuesday, April 17, 2001, at her home in Samaria, Idaho.

Norma was born August 13, 1926, in Syracuse, Utah, a daughter of Burton and Eudora Schofield. She attended Davis High School, and later worked for the Ogden, Utah Arsenal.
She married Vernon Wesley Hulse on July 30, 1945, in Oakland, California, and their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City, Utah LDS Temple in 1954.

After her marriage, she had worked at the Woods Cross Cannery factory. Norma was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and was active in the Malad LDS Second Ward, where she had served in many callings.

She is survived by her husband, of Samaria; daughters, Linda Hildreth of Ogden, Utah, Lavern (Larry) Pollett of Clinton, Utah, Sandra (Michael) Sands of Pahrump, Nevada; 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; brothers, Dale Schofield of Clearfield, Utah, and Jex Lamar Schofield, also of Clearfield. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Sherman.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2001, at noon in the Malad LDS Second Ward Chapel, 20 S. 100 w. Friends may call at the Horsley Funeral Home, 132 W. 300 N., Malad this evening, Friday, April 20, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and on Saturday at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Samaria Cemetery.
