Nora Williams Price

Nora Williams Price passed away peacefully in her home in Malad Idaho on her 87th birthday, Dec 8, 2012, surrounded by her loving family.
Nora was born on Dec 8, 1925, to Arthur T and Nora Harrison Williams of Malad Idaho. She was the 7th of 10 children. She grew up in Deep Creek and attended school in Malad.
She married the love of her life, Edward Varlo Price, on June 13, 1942. They were later sealed in the Logan Temple on July 7, 1961. The couple lived in Texas and Oklahoma while Varlo served in the Army during World War II. After the war, they lived in Holbrook and Mackay Idaho where they worked on ranches. Later, they bought a place in Parma Idaho where they farmed and owned a dairy and freight business with Varlos parents, Ed and Blanche Price, for 20 years. Then Varlo’s love of ranching led them to Darlington Idaho where they owned and operated a ranch for nearly 20 years. They retired and moved back to Malad in 1987. They were the parents of 6 children.
Nora is survived by 5 children: Louise Price of Malad, Jolene (Dan) Ackerman of Liberty Lake Wa, Edward Blaine (JoAnn) Price of Malad, LaNora (Ralph) Clark of Portage UT, and Lewis Van (Teri) Price of Malad. Also, 31 Grandchildren, 88 Great Grandchildren, and 7 Great Great Grandchildren, and 4 Sisters: June Jones of Dillon MT, Hanna Lou Williams, Darlene Neilsen and Barbara Bingham all of Malad
She was preceded in death by her husband, Varlo, her daughter, Noni Sue Dowdle, 1 granddaughter, her parents, 1 brother and 4 sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2012, at 12 noon in the Malad LDS 3rd Ward chapel 200 W. 400 N., Friends may visit with the Price family on Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm at the Horsley Funeral Home 132 W. 300 N. and on Thursday at the funeral home from 10:30-11:30 a.m. prior to the services.
