Naomi Evans Warner

LONG BEACH, Calif. – Naomi Evans Warner, 90, longtime Lava Hot Springs resident, died Friday, June 8, in Long Beach, Calif.
She was born Sept. 20, 1899 in Samaria to William and Mary Jenkins Evans. She grew up and was educated in Samaria and Lava Hot Springs, where she also attended high school.
She married Dewey Francis Warner on Nov. 16, 1921 in Lava Hot Springs. They farmed and ranched there. She also worked for the state foundation for a number of years. Mr. Warner died in 1979.
She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and enjoyed all types of handwork and reading.
She is survived by one son, William F. Warner, Canyon City, Ore.; two daughters, Mrs. William (Barbara) Kevan, Twin Falls and Mrs. Lawrence (Mary) Clysdale, Long Beach, Calif.; one sister, Ruth E. Otis, Lucerne Valley, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and one sister.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, 2 p.m. in the Lava Hot Springs Cemetery with Bishop Wallace Whitehead officiating. Friends may call Saturday from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Marsh Valley Funeral Home in Arimo.
