Myrtle Louise Jones, 80, Malad and former Ogden resident, passed away September 16, 2003 in Logan, Utah.

Louise was born May 23, 1923 in Charleston, West Virginia, the only daughter of Oliver and Gretchen Wears Long. She attended school in Charleston and later Ohio. She served in the Adjutant Generals Dept. in Ohio and later worked in the Southwestern City Schools in Grove City, Ohio.

Following the death of her second husband, Thomas Sheets, Louise moved to the Ogden, UT area. It was there that she met and married Avon L. Jones, and they resided in Ogden for 17 years. While in Ogden, she worked for the IRS and GSA offices. Louise and Avon moved to Cherry Creek, ID, just south of Malad in 1986. She took her ambitions to the kitchen, where she put her all into cooking and feeding her many friends in the valley. Her mouth watering baked goods and plates of goodies will be missed.
