Mr. & Mrs. Henry Daniels of Hynes Calif. Formerly of Malad celebrated their GOLDEN WEDDING on Dec. 15, 1945. Mr. Daniels is 71 and Mrs. Daniels 67 years of age. They were married in Malad, Idaho 15 Dec. 1984 [1895?]. The occasion was celebrated Sunday 17 Dec starting with a family dinner at noon at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Larry Daniels at Long Beach, Calif.
Those attending were their children: Mr. & Mrs. Frank (Janet) Thomas, of Long Beach; Mr. & Mrs. N.H. (Beth) Arave of Monrovia, Calif; Mr. & Mrs. Larry (Ruby) Daniels, Long Beach; Mr. & Mrs. J.H. (Celia) Stageman, Council Bluffs, Iowa; and their son-in-law & wife Mr. & Mrs. Homer Vaughan of Independence, MO.
Their grandchildren present were: Mrs. John (Donna Rae) Crandall and daughter Kay of Independence, MO; Mrs. Don Lilly and daughter Donna Jean of Long Beach; Misses Beth Arlene Thomas, Orine Arave, Jeanine Arave, Celia Rae Stageman, Larry Thomas, Marvin Lee Daniels, and Jimmie Stageman.
Those of the family not present were: a son-in-law Captain Janes Stageman, two grandsons, Cpl. Clair Vaughan, Lt. John Crandall all serving in Europe and a grandson Neal Thomas in the army hospital in Fresno Calif., Mrs. Neal Thomas and S-I-C Don Lilly of the navy. Special guests of the family from Malad were: George Daniels, a brother, D. M. Thomas a cousin of Mr. Daniels and Mrs. Stella Layland, Sister of Mrs. Daniels and Mr. & Mrs. Walter (Stella D.) Jones of Long Beach.
The tables were beautifully decorated gold and a three tier wedding cake of white and gold was the centerpiece. On each end was a gold vase of yellow roses. Mr. Daniels wore a navy blue suit and Mrs. Daniels was a beautiful bride of fifty years in a crepe dress of cranberry shade and she was presented with an orchid corsage by her son, Larry while Mrs. Layland, Mrs. Larry Daniels, and Mrs. Vaughan accompanied by Mrs. Crandall sang “We’ve Gone a Long Way Together.” The house was beautifully decorated with yellow roses for the open house held from 3 to 6 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Daniels greeted a hundred guest, including Mr. & Mrs. David Daniels of Pocatello, Brother & Sister of Mr. Daniels.
Wedding cake and fruit punch were served to the guests. Many beautiful gifts were brought by friends & relatives.
Buffet supper was served at 7 p.m. to the dinner guests and Mr. & Mrs. Perc Hanson of Santa Anna, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Arave of Los Angeles, & Ralph Thomas of Long Beach. Mr. & Mrs. Daniels will move to their new residence at 4315 Vermont Ave. Long Beach, soon.
