Funeral Tuesday For Melvin Price

PAYETTE, Idaho — Melvin Price, 63, formerly of Malad, died here Thursday [28 Mar 1957] of natural causes.

Mr. Price was a laborer and had resided in Payette for three years. He was member of the LDS Church.

He was born Dec. 5, 1893, in Malad, a son of Thomas and Jeanette Daniels Price. He was reared and educated in Malad.

Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Espy Thomas, Mrs. James A. Williams and Mrs. D. LeRoy Thomas, Malad; Mrs. LeRoy Fink, Rupert; three brothers, Thomas D. Price, Ogden; Jack D. Price, Pocatello; Henry Price, Glendale, Calif.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Malad Third ward with Bishop Hubert Gleed officiating. Prayer at the home was offered by Josiah Price. At the chapel, prelude and postlude music was played by Margaret Laws who also accompanied the musical numbers. Invocation was offered by E. N. Crowther; benediction, Gerald Thomas; vocal solos; Helen Edwards Jones, Jenkin Palmer, Don Williams. Speakers were W. W. Thomas, Dr. Thos. W. Richards. Dedicatory prayer was given by J. Guy Benson. Casket bearers were Lyle Thomas, Bland Williams, Boyd Price, Ralph Fink, Glen Price, Clair Thomas.
