Maude Harris Thomas, 78, of Malad, died Thursday, June 9, 1994 in the Oneida County Nursing Home. She was born December 15, 1915 in Malad, a daughter of Everett J, and Ella Thomas Harris. She grew up and was educated in Malad. She married Morris Thomas December 20, 1932 in Pocatello, and they were later divorced. She had lived in Malad, St. John, Pocatello, California, and Ogden, Utah. Mrs. Thomas had been employed at the Evans Co-op Store, the American Food Store and had also been a nursemaid to several elderly ladies.

She is survived by one daughter and her husband, Sharon and Ferris Hess of Malad; one son and his wife, Lamonte (Red) and Janice Thomas of Malad; 9 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Earsel (Thelma) Bloxham of Florence, Montana; one brother and wife Rex and Earlene Harris of Ogden, Utah. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Cleve Harris.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 13, 1994 in Malad. Burial was in the Malad City Cemetery.
