TWO MALAD VALLEY WOMEN PASS AWAY
Mrs. Mary Price, of Samaria, Mrs. Emmett Thomas, Malad Died Last Week.
Mrs. Mary Jenkins Price, 60, Samaria, died at Samaria Friday morning [April 21, 1939] of cause incident to old age, and Mrs. Emmett Thomas, 60, died at Malad Saturday morning after suffering several years with diabetes.

Impressive funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Samaria ward chapel for Mrs. Price with Bishop Daniel M. Price officiating. Musical numbers included solos by Mrs. Margaret E. Jones, duet, Mrs. Verlen Williams and Mrs. Roy Davis; solo Mrs. Max Williams; quartet by Lester Tavey, Morgan Tovey, Edward Woozley and Melvin Yearsley; duet, Mrs. Evan Price and Miss Helen McDonald.
Speakers were Bishop D. M. Price, David Hughes, Thomas W. Richards, J. Peter Jensen, and Milton H. Welling of Salt Lake City. Invocation was offered by W. E. Morse and the benediction by Sam Williams. The prelude and postlude was played by Miss Margaret Taylor. Interment was in the Samaria cemetery with Owen T. Davis dedicating the grave.
Nephews of Mrs. Price served as pallbearers and included: David W. Jenkins, John Jenkins, William R. Jenkins, Joseph Martin, Richard Morse and Joseph Dudley. The Relief Society had charge of the flowers.

Ray of Pocatello, Mrs. Margaret Hatch, Mrs. Edith Lindsay, Mrs. Hyrum Peterson, Mrs. W. G. Davis, Mrs. Bessie Evans, Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Thompson, Mary Lou Thompson, Florine[sic] Ricks, Miss Beth Price, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Carpenter, Mrs. Anna Crowther, and Mrs. Virginia Hughes Rigby, all of Salt Lake City.

Davis of Homedale, Idaho; Mr. and Mrs. Herman Davis of Almeda[sic], Calif., Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hawkins, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hansen, Mrs. Mary Black, Mrs. Rose Atkinson, and Mr. and Mrs. John Malouf[sic] of Ogden, and Mrs. Wm. Thomas of Midvale, Utah.
Mrs. Price mas[sic] born at Cumbach, South Wales, Sept. 19, 1858, the daughter of David and Anna Evans Jenkins. With her parents she came to Salt City in 1866. The family went from there to Logan, Utah and moved to Samaria in 1867, where Mrs. Price resided until her death.
She was married to Daniel E. Price at the Endowment house, Salt Lake City, on March 15, 1875. Mr. Price died in 1926.
Mrs. Price was a member of the L. D. S. church and an active worker in the Relief Society and the Mutual Improvement association.
She was the mother of 13 children, two of whom survive, Mrs. Silas Anderson of Samaria and Mrs. Edgar Davis of Twin Falls.
