Services Thursday for Mrs. Hadfield
Bishop Hubert Gleed conducted the funeral service Thursday at Malad Third LDS Ward for Mrs. Mary Hawkes Hadfield, age 78, who died Dec. 25th.
Family prayer was offered by Wesley Hawkes; the invocation by Max Pilgrim and the benediction by Ray Croeshaw. Speakers were Bishop Gleed, who read the obituary; Jas. B. Jones and Mrs. Joseph Day. Vocal solos were presented by Jenkin Jones and Leora Brown with Iris Barker accompanist. Prelude and postlude music was played by Wesley Crowther.
Clair Smith offered the dedicatory prayer at the Smithfield Cemetery. Fourth Ward Relief Society supervised arrangement of the flowers carried by relatives and neighbors. Casket bearers were Larry Hadfield, James Hadfield, Lynn Hadfield, Gene Pilgrim, Russel Petersen and Wayne Simmons.
Benson funeral Home directed the burial.
