MARY HANSEN MANSFIELD

Mary Hansen Mansfield passed away peacefully January 16, 2012 in Salt lake City, UT at the age of 86. Mary was born August 13, 1925 to Sylvester Olander and Mary Eliza Groth Rasmussen Hansen in Malad, ID. She was the 7th of 9 children.

Mary grew up in the Malad, ID area and graduated from Malad High School in 1943 in a class of 90 students. She married Calvin W. Mansfield of Samaria on March 20, 1944 in Ogden, UT. Their marriage was later solemnized on October 7, 1955 in the Salt Lake Temple. They moved to Salt Lake City and started their family. Mary had a great love for genealogy and family. She worked in the church extraction program for many years and also worked in the temple participating in sealings.

Preceding her in death were her siblings, Verda Borromeo, Lilo George, Boyd S., Ace V. (Lois), and Khalil Vaughn (Vickie). She is survived by her brother Dee R. (Jerry) Hansen of Ogden, UT and sisters, Drue (Elmer, deceased) Aldous of Ogden, UT, and LaLana (Arthur B., deceased) Draper of Hooper, UT. Also surviving her is her husband Calvin W. Mansfield of Salt lake City, UT, along with her three children: Karen M. (Scott) Johnson of West Valley City, UT; Dale (Dasya) Mansfield of Lake Oswego, OR; and Steven (Patricia) Mansfield of Salt Lake City, UT. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on January 21 at the Holladay-Cottonwood Memorial Mortuary. Interment will be in the Holladay Memorial Park.
