MARY GODDARD OSTLUND

Mary Goddard Ostlund left this earth after a long battle with cancer and heart failure.

She was born May 27, 1928 in Malad City, Idaho to Martin and Laura Jones Goddard (both deceased). Mary moved to Salt Lake City, Utah as a young girl and grew up here.

When she was a teenager she married Guy Merrick (lkater divorced:. She then married Jim Dill (later divorced). She then married Richard E. “Swede” Ostlund in 1954 and together they had three children, Greg (Christy) Ostlund, Robin (Michael) Ostlund (deceased), and Troy Ostlund (deceased). She also had three sisters and two brothers, Trilva Angelos, Millie (Bob) Broadwater, Laura Katie Corwell (deceased). John Goddard (deceased) and Fred Goddard (deceased).

Mary had many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, grandchildren, and many good friends, especially Carol Mills and Gwen Oakden.

Mary belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary for many years and participated in all events and was an officer of the Auxiliary. She also worked for the American Legion Auxiliary for quite a few years running the bar and cooking club.

She will be truly missed. Mary requested no funeral or graveside services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Legion Auxiliary Emergency Fund.
