MARTHA CHRISTINA TRIPP DIES JUNE 21

Martha Christina (Crystal) Halverson Tripp, 85, died June 21, 1983 in a Pocatello nursing home. She was born to Jonas and Emily Spackman Halverson in Lewiston, Utah on December 20, 1897. She received her education in Richmond, Utah.

She married Leslie Tripp on September 15, 1915 and after their marriage they moved to Arimo and homesteaded a farm. They farmed and ranched east of Arimo for many years. After Mr. Tripp died on January 20, 1976, Mrs. Tripp moved to Arimo and worked in a café in Downey. Later she worked for Rands Café in Arimo until her retirement.

She was a member of the LDS Church. She enjoyed quilting and all types of handwork and was an accomplished seamstress.

She is survived by four sons, Reed Tripp, Pocatello; Vern Tripp and Reynold Tripp, both of Malad; and Barry Tripp, Arimo; six daughters, Mrs. J.J. (Vella) Gomez and Mrs. Leitha Davis, both of Downey, Mrs. Golden (Genesse) Christensen and Mrs. Marvin (Bessie) Tillotsen, both of Arimo; Mrs. Louise Milward, Salt lake City, UT; and Mrs. Colleen Clark, Arimo; 44 grandchildren; 77 great grandchildren; a brother, Delbert Halversen, Richmond, UT; and a sister, Mrs. Al (Edith) Morrison, Downey.

Funeral services were held Friday, June 24 in the Arimo LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Loyal Bellon officiating. Burial was in the Arimo Cemetery.
