Marion D. Jones, 29 May 1910

Marion D. Jones, 85, passed away April 24, 1996 in Everett, Washington.

He was born May 29, 1910, the younger son of nine children of Evan George and Josephine Deschamps Jones in St. John, Idaho. He attended schools in St. John and Malad where his older brother and sister were among his teachers.

In 1929 he married Aline Josephson, also from Malad. A year later they moved to Pocatello where they raised their family until World War II. They moved to Seattle at that time and lived the rest of their lives in that area.

Marion was preceded in death by his wife in 1981. He is survived by his two sons, Wayne Jones of Portland, OR and Gerald D. Jones and his wife Yvonne of Lynnwood. He also leaves two brothers, Ruel and his wife Edna Unsworth Jones and Evan and his wife, Maude Evans Jones, as well as his sister-in-law Vesta Hutteball Jones, all of whom were from the Malad and St. John area. He will also be missed by his five grandchildren and their spouses and seven great grandchildren.

Graveside services were held at Washington Cemetery on April 27 in Seattle, WA.
