Margaret Williams Jones (Birth 11 Sep 1841/Death 11 Jun 1887)

Margaret Williams Jones was born at Llanelly, Carmarthenshire, Wales on September 11, 1841. Her parents were William Williams and Ann Williams.

She immigrated to America from Liverpool, England on the ship “Horizon” on 25 May 1856 arriving in Boston June 30, 1856.

She married William Rees Jones, Sr. April 11, 1860 at Salt Lake City, Utah Territory. He was killed just a few weeks later in a sawmill accident near Salt Lake. On December 14, 1860, she married William w. Jones.

Margaret died while visiting her mother in Pleasantview, Oneida, Idaho Territory on June 11, 1887. She is buried in the Samaria, Oneida, Idaho cemetery.

Survivors: Husband, mother and children: Griffity, Mary Angeline and Elizabeth Ann. Also two sisters survive: Sarah and Mary.
