Lynda Willie Collings (Birth – 7 May 1941)

Lynda Willie Collings, 47, Idaho Falls homemaker, died at her home on February 8, 1989 of cancer.

She was born May 7, 1941, in Malad, Idaho, the daughter of Arthur Golden and Fern Atkinson Willie. She grew up in Malad and graduated from Malad High School. She attended Utah State University from 1959-1961. She served an L.D.S. Mission in the New England States from 1963-1964. She married Lynn Holton Collings on June 24, 1965, in the Logan, Utah L.D.S. Temple. She was a homemaker and was active in the L.D.S. Church.

She is survived by her husband of Idaho Falls, one son, Dennis Lynn Collings (18), one daughter Lisa Collings (15) both of Idaho Falls; her mother, Fern A. Willie of Malad; one brother, Wells G. Willie of Holbrook, Idaho; two sisters, Mrs. Dan (Marlene) Villegas, West Valley, Utah and her twin sister, Mrs. Roger (Lorna) Hill of Ammon, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her father.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 11, 1989, at the Idaho Falls L.D.S. 42nd Ward with Bishop Vernon B. Beck officiating.

Burial was in the Brigham City Cemetery, Brigham City, Utah.
