Lucille Fenwick Gabrielson

Lucille Fenwick Gabrielson, 64, of 41 Price Lane, Malad, and a former resident of the Black Rock area, passed away Monday afternoon, Oct 12, 1992, in Oneida County Hospital at Malad, following an extended illness.
She was born in Pocatello, Idaho, where she lived and received her schooling.
She received a vo-tech degree in bookkeeping and secretarial training in 1947 from Idaho State University. She worked for the Union Pacific Railroad as a secretary, Mendenhall’s Auto Parts as a secretary and bookkeeper and the Idaho State University Library.
Her thirst for an education led to going back to school for her GED high school diploma and then she entered Idaho State University as a freshman in 1975; receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and a minor in Social Work, graduating in 1980.
She did volunteer work for the veterans, church and senior centers. She was an active member of the Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.
Two weeks before her husband passed away in 1982 from war injuries and heart disease, she was diagnosed with leukemia.
She was a member of the Leukemia Society of Denver, Arizona and California.
She was the daughter of Thomas and Ila Mary Curtis Fenwick. Surviving brothers are Glen Fenwick, Port Orchard, Washington; Leon Fenwick, California; and Thomas Fenwick of Pocatello, Idaho.
Her five children were Mary Ame Hughes, California; Jim Gabrielson, Pocatello, Idaho; Carol Howe, Malad, Idaho; Gaylene Olsen, Logan, Utah; and Debra Ann Cockrell, Malad, Idaho. She had 13 grandchildren.
Burial is to be at the Restlawn Memorial Cemetery, South 5th, Pocatello, Idaho, under the direction of Manning Funeral Chapel, 510 North 12th Avenue.
