Lucille Crowther Howes, 68, of Spring City, passed away Thursday, February 13, 1997, at her home following a long struggle with cancer. Lucille was born September 6, 1928, in Malad, Idaho to Edward Nehemiah and Estella Evans Crowther. She married H. Reid Howes, July 13, 1950 in the Logan LDS Temple.
Lucille was an active member of the LDS Church and served in many church callings. She was a member of the Lamba Delta Sigma Club and was crowned queen. Lucille loved spending time with her husband and family in the mountains, and was always there for her family in time of need.
She is survived by her husband, Reid: children: Chad R. Howes (Cathy) of Paoina, Colorado; Ann Gonzales (Danny) of Mapleton, Utah; Cay Roberts (Kirk) Springville, Utah; Ron C. Howes (Elizabeth) Price, Utah; Mark E. Howes (Tracy), Helper, Utah; Susan Johnson (Dan), Benjamin, Utah; Tim Reid Howes (Anna Mae) Spring City, Utah; 21 grandchildren and one great grandchild, brothers and sisters: Margaret Harris, Gordon Crowther, Valene Turner, Leonore Bassett and ShaRon Jones. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Neil and Berthel Crowther and her dear Aunt Annie Evans.
Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 17 in the Spring City LDS Chapel. Interment was in the Spring City Cemetery.
