OGDEN – Lucille B. Larson, after a long, happy, and active life passed away at McKay-
Dee Hospital after a brief illness on December 11, 2010. She was born September 14, 1919 in Malad, Idaho to Lester and Doris Bingham, being the oldest of nine children. She was raised in Clinton, Utah and went to the Clinton Schools and David High School.
She met and married Walter Swartz in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple on March 24, 1938. They lived in Malad, Idaho and farmed in Daniels, Idaho until moving to Dillon, Montana in 1950 along with six other families from Malad. Lucille and Walter had four sons (Gary, Stan, Bob, and Tim) and the family worked hard on the ranch they acquired in Montana until 1970 when she and Walter divorced. During this time in Montana, three of her sons were married and started families of their own.
Lucile moved to Ogden, Utah where she met and married Glen E. Larson on April 17, 1971. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple. She loved and cared for Glen’s four children (Lex, Lynette, Kerry and Kelly) along with her youngest son, Tim. Lucile loved living in the Ogden area where she and Glen could go golfing with her sister, Glenna Buelo and her husband Ken.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had many callings in the different organizations of the church. She loved to dance, and with that love, she was Dance Director in the church where she directed many floor shows in Montana and Utah. She had a strong testimony of the Gospel of the Church and lived those values every day of her life.
The most important things in her life were the Church and her family and husband where her tireless devotion and enthusiasm was always appreciated and loved by those whose paths crossed with hers. She was the best mother and wife anyone could ever ask for.
She is survived by her husband, Glen, her children Gary (Sonna) Swartz; Stan (Sherry) Swartz; Tim (Marla) Swartz; Lex (Vicki) Larson; Lynette Priest; Kerry (Alan) Neal and Kelly (Shannon) Larson; sisters Glenna Buelo, Margie Costich and Marilyn barker, 29 grandchildren and 56 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, bothers Donald Bingham and Guy Bingham, sisters Dorothy Loftus, Barbara Hussey, and Carolyn Duke; and grandsons, Brett Swartz and Phil Swartz.
