Lowell “Chuck” Raymond Davis

Lowell “Chuck” Raymond Davis, 82, passed away at his home, with his family by his side, March 13, 2014 in Malad, Idaho. He was born May 8, 1931 to Raymond and Margret Davis. Lowell Graduated from Downey High School in 1949, after which He enlisted in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He Married Vera Jones April 12, 1957 and was later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple April 16, 1965. They made their home in Malad where they ranched. Lowell was an active member of the Pleasantview Grazing Association, Idaho Cattleman’s Association, Oneida County Soil Conservation, Oneida County Search and Rescue, and District High School Rodeo. He supported his sons and later grandchildren in all sports and rodeo. Lowell was a true cattleman, taking pride in raising good quality cattle and good looking horses. He is survived by his wife Vera, three sons, Kelly (Mary Jo), Kurt (Jill), and Ray (Paula), all of Malad, nine Grandchildren and six Great-Grandchildren, two brothers, Glade “Rusty” (Jane) of Downey, Tim (Jeanie) of Paradise, UT, two sisters, Willa Andrews of Dayton, and Florence Kent of Hooper, UT. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers in law, and a granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 18 at 11:00 a.m. in the Malad LDS Stake Chapel. Friends may visit with the family on Monday evening from 7:00-8:00 p.m. at the Horsley Funeral Home, 132 W. 300 N., and again on Tuesday morning from 9:30-10:30a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Malad Cemetery with Military Rites.
