Lorraine Stocking Allen

SALT CITY, Utah – Lorraine Stocking Allen, 78, returned to her Father in Heaven Friday, October 15, 1999, in the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah, of heart failure.

She was born September 19, 1921, in Malad, a daughter of George Angus and Ellen “Nellie” Morgan Stocking. She was raised in Malad and Soda Springs, where her father had a ranch in Rasmussen Valley. She went to school in Malad, was a graduate of Malad High Schooland later attended business college in Salt Lake City, Utah.

She married Earl Grant Allen on February 8, 1952, in the Logan LDS Temple. She was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Lorraine enjoyed crafts of all kinds, genealogy, Temple work, her children, grandchildren, and was especially fond of visiting family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Earl of Malad; three daughters, Hannah Ann Crowder of Riverdale, Utah; Nellie-K (Dean) Hamilton of Malad; Saralee Hatch of Pocatello; a son, E. Spencer (Denise) Allen of Las Vegas, Nevada; 11 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, three sisters and one grandson.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, October 19,1999, in the Malad LDS Stake Chapel. Burial will be in the Malad City Cemetery.
