Lloyd G. Radford, 86, died on Saturday, September 13, 1997 at a Boise hospital. Services were held Wednesday, September 17 at Summers Funeral Homes, Boise Chapel. Burial followed at Morris Hill Cemetery.
Lloyd was born November 5, 1910 at Glenwood, Washington, the son of George and Mar Radford. He was schooled in Washington. He moved to Malad in 1932, where he met and married his wife, Jennie Madsen on September 4, 1937. They celebrated 60 years of marriage this year. He worked for West Coast Power Company in Hailey and Cascade and they moved to Boise in 1944, where he went to work for Idaho Power Company. He retired from Idaho Power Company as a Chief Dispatcher on July 28, 1975.
He was a member of the Idaho Pioneers of the Idaho power Company, Capital City Lodge #93, A.F. & A.M., receiving his 50 year pin. He was a 33rd degree and a life member of Scottish Rite Bodies of Boise, past president and life member of ElKorah Greeters. He was also a member of the Egg and Shell Club and member of the Gold Rush Shrine Club.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jennie, of Boise; his sister Elizabeth Gillespie of San Jose, California; nephew, Lloyd Gillespie of San Jose, California, and a niece, Janet Robbins of San Jose, California. He was preceded in death by his parents.
