Lloyd A. Bybee

DOWNEY, Ida.-Lloyd A. Bybee, 89, passed away on Friday, March 3, 2000, in the Franklin County Hospital.
He was born December 11, 1910, in Downey, a son of William Jefferson and Eliza Ellen Aldous Bybee. He grew up and was educated in Cambridge, where he worked on the family farm. As a young man, he enjoyed playing baseball and horseshoes.
Lloyd married Pearl Burton May 15, 1936, in Pocatello, and their marriage was solemnized later in the Logan LDS Temple. He had worked as a carpenter for several years and retired after after working for the Bannock county road crew.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served as a home teacher for many years. Lloyd was a well known musician and played several different instruments for dances and on other occasions through the years.
He is survived by his wife, Pearl of Downey; one son, Darrell (Lois) Bybee of Downey; one daughter, Sherry Gimple of Idaho Falls; one brother, Drew (“Boots”) Bybee of Pocatello; one sister, Juanita Garvin of Pocatello; four grandchildren, three step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and nine brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2000, at 2 p.m. in the Marsh Valley funeral Home, 570 N. Meadowview Drive, Arimo. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Downey City Cemetery.
