(March 4, 1953 – July 29, 2017) 

Linda Leda Jones, 64 of Malad, Idaho passed away on Saturday, July 29 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Linda was born on March 4, 1953 in Ukiah, California to Paul Anderson and Helen Ipsen Loomis.

After spending her first years in Ukiah and Lake Tahoe, the family moved to Ventura, California. Linda spent the majority of her years growing up in Ventura with her 4 younger siblings where she developed her deep love for the beach.

After completing education in Accounting from Ventura Junior College, Linda moved to Malad to be with her grandmother Leda and younger sisters in 1975. She soon met Craig Jones and they married August 9, 1976 in Lake Tahoe. They had 2 children, Nicholas and Jessica. Their life soon became centered around chasing them to baseball, basketball, dance, and soccer games and Linda loved every minute of it. She balanced that as a working mother while continuing a career in accounting, working for various firms and preparing income taxes for many Malad residents over the years.

She is survived by her son Nicholas (Harmony); daughter Jessica (Adam) Acosta; brothers Paul (Dani) Anderson and Lewis (Marian) Anderson; sister Mary (Kim) Wakley; and her 5 beautiful grandchildren, Xander, Kynlee, Jagger, Jett, and Barcelona. Linda was preceded in death by her parents Paul Anderson and Helen Loomis and her sister Lesia Gittins.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 8 at 12 noon in the Horsley Funeral Home, 132 W. 300 N. in Malad. Friends may visit with the family Tuesday morning from 11-11:45 a.m. prior to the service Burial will follow in the Malad City Cemetery.
