Leo Henry Brown

MALAD, Ida- Leo Henry Brown, 88 of Malad, Idaho, passed away at home Tuesday, April 18, 2000.
He was born October 30, 1911 in Centerville, Utah, to Henry Columbus and Pearl Duncan Brown. He was a lifelong resident of Pleasant View, Idaho.
A graduate of Malad High School, he farmed all of his adult life in Malad Valley, loving the land and all it produced.
He married Leora Ipsen on October 29, 1941, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple.
He served as bishop of the Pleasantview LDS Ward for nine years. He enjoyed flying, working with his hands, throwing horseshoes, training dogs to entertain hundreds of children, but most of all, he enjoyed his family.
He is survived by his wife Leora, of Pleasantview; four sons and a daughter: Jim (Dawn) Perth, Australia; Dennis (Laurie) Rexburg, Idaho; Boyd (Shirlene) Clinton, Utah; Roy (Jeanne) Pocatello, and Janiel Swore (Jerry), of Pocatello; 18 grandsons and two granddaughters, and six great –grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother, William M. Brown, Ogden, Utah, and two sisters; Ida Bennett, Preston, Idaho and Bertha Court, Bountiful Utah.
Funeral service was held Saturday, April 22, at the Malad Second Ward Church. Interment was in the Pleasantview Cemetery following the funeral service.
