 PORTAGE- LaVerne Taylor Hoskins, 85, died at the Wasatch Care Center, in Ogden on July 28, 1995. She was born in Round Valley, Rich County, Utah on January 23, 1910, the daughter of Arthur Samuel and Iva Lenora Earley Taylor.
She married O. Clifford Hoskins on July 10, 1929 in Blackfoot, Idaho and the marriage was later solemnized in the Logan temple on October 18, 1972. He died January 28, 1986.
LaVerne lived in Round Valley and Springville. She and Cliff moved to Portage in the early 70's. She was employed at Whites Poultry in Ogden and also at Hills Air Force Base.
She was also a member of the LDS Church and held various auxiliary positions.
She is survived by four children and their spouses, LaRue Nichols, American falls, Idaho, C. Wayne (Myrna) Hoskins, Roy; Jerry (Emma) Hoskins, West point; and Jack (Ann) Hoskins, Ogden, 16 grandchildren,  38 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Also surviving is one half-sister, Joyce (Morgan) Thomas, Springville.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 1, 1995, at 11a.m. At the Portage Ward Chapel, 8910 West 25800 North with Bishop Val D. Gibbs, officiating. Friends may call on Monday, July 31, from 6 p.m. to 8.p.m.  At the Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton. Also on Tuesday from 9:30-10:45 a.m. At the church.
