FIFIELD, LAUREL JONES, October 3, 1911 – October 31, 1980

Laurel Jones Fifield, 69, Whittier, CA, a former Malad resident, died Tuesday in Bellflower, California. She was born October 3, 1911 in Malad to James B. and Elizabeth Waylett Jones. She married Floyd Fifield.

She grew up and was educated in the Malad area. She was a graduate of college where she received her teaching degree. She had taught school in Malad, Salt Lake City and California for over 50 years. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Survivors include her husband, Whitier, CA; three daughters, Bessie Gail Saxton and Maren Perez, both of Salt Lake City, and Nada Barkley, Belivia; three sisters, Mrs. Mabel Thomason, Springville, UT; Mrs. Ronald (Nada) Jones, Malad and Jennie Jones, Whittier, CA; and eleven grandchildren.

Services were held Saturday in the Benson Horsley Funeral Home with Bishop Clarence Kent officiating. Burial was in the Malad City Cemetery.
