Lance Jude Lund

MALAD — Lance Jude Lund, 27, passed away on December 24, 2011, from an auto accident. He was born March 22, 1984, in Tremonton, Utah, a son of Gary Kenneth and Julie Marie Lund.
Lance grew up in Cherry Creek, attended schools in Malad and was a graduate of Malad High School, class of 2002. Following high school, Lance joined the US. Marine Corp. He served his country from 2003-2011. He had been to many countries throughout the world, including, Bah-rain, the Philippines, Thailand, Okinawa, Japan, Cuba, Sicily, Italy, Jordan, Spain and Maylasia and was sent twice to Iraq. Lance loved people and was an example of service to others.
He found great joy in his car; a 2007 Subaru Impressa WRX STI, and also enjoyed working with his computer. He is survived by his parents; Gary and Julie of Malad; 1 brother; Trinity of Malad 3 sisters; Lenicia (Richard) Talomantes of Salmon, Idaho; Sarah Lund of Pocatello and Lacy (Josh) Tanner of Logan, Utah Grandparents; Corin and Donald Meyer of Malad; and Sarah B. Lund of Casper, Wyoming. Also surviving are many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandfather; Dr. Ronald R. Lund of Casper, Wyoming. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 30, 2011, at 11:00 am in the Horsley Funeral Home 132 W. 300 N. in Malad. Friends may visit with the Lund family on Friday from 9:00-10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Cherry Creek Cemetery with Military Honors, provided by the Idaho Honor Guard and the American Legion, Ernest W. Jones Post #65.
