JUNE TALBOT WILLIAMS

June Talbot Williams, 85, passed away May 26, 2011 at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls, ID.

She was born June 2, 1925 in St. John, ID to Andrew Melvin and Miriam Monson Talbot. June was raised and received her elementary education in St. John. In 1943 she graduated from Malad High School. She spent the next several years working for the soil conservation offices in Malad and Pocatello.

On July 20, 1948, she married Leon L. Williams in the Logan, UT Temple. They made their home in Malad for a short time before moving to Blackfoot, ID. Leon raised potatoes and wheat on the reservation for twelve years. In 1964 they moved to Darlington where they have resided since.

June worked for the LDS Church for many years as a custodian and was a dedicated mother and wife. She loved her family and supported them in whatever activity they might be involved in. She also enjoyed cooking, painting, crocheting and music. She even taught herself to play the piano. June was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Surviving is her husband, Leon Williams, Darlington, ID; her children, Kim Williams (Janet), Firth, ID; Brett Williams (Trudy), Darlington, ID; Michelle McInelly (Blaine), Blackfoot, ID; Todd Williams (Lynette), Firth, ID; Greg Williams (Barbara), Kaysville, UT; and Troy Williams (Suzanne), Sugar City, ID; a brother, Lorin Talbot (Deloris), Blackfoot, ID; a sister, Miriel Butler, Nampa, ID; 35 grandchildren and 54 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Nancy Williams; four brothers, Oral, Hiram, Andie and Steven, two sisters, Zelpha and Shirley.

Funeral services were held May 31, 2011 at the Moore LDS Stake Center. Interment will be in the Mt. McCaleb Cemetery in Mackay.
