OGDEN – June Hayes Wright, 83, passed away quietly at home on Thursday, December 20, 2001 of natural causes.
June was born June 21, 1918 in Spanish Fork, Utah, the daughter of Henry B. and Jessie B. Hayes. She graduated from Ogden High School and Weber College.
June married Marvin F. Wright in Malad, Idaho on July 31, 1941. They were married for 60 wonderful years.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
June worked at Hill Air Force Base and the Utah School for the Deaf and Blind.
She loved ceramics, doll-making, crocheting and spending time with Marvin and her family.
Surviving are her husband, Marvin, of Ogden; five children, Dennis (Jeanette) Wright, Hooper; Cheryl (Richard) Fowers, Pocatello, ID; Neil (Coleen) Wright, Sioux Falls, SD; Suzette Goodwin, Ogden; Dawnelle (Neal) Overton, Riverdale; 15 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.
Also surviving is one brother, Bruce (Francis) Hayes, Ogden.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Ruth E. Porath; three sisters, two brothers and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at the graveside on Monday, December 24th at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.
