Judy Jones Boel

Malad — Judy Lynn Jones Boel, 34, 112 S. 180 E., Malad, died Wednesday at her home of cancer.

She was born Dec. 29, 1951, in Toole, Utah, to Aurthur John and Donna Annette Anderson Jones. She grew up and was educated in Toole and Kearns, Utah and was a graduate of Kearns High School.

She attended Snow Junior College. She had been historian for the LDS Student Association at Utah Tech, and had served as historian and treasure for the LDS Institute. She had also been a member of Lambda Delta Sigma.

She married Daniel Alan Boel in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple Aug. 25, 1972.

For the past several years, she had lived in Samaria and Malad. She had been employed at the Oneida County Sheriff”s Department where she worked as a dispatcher. She worked as a newspaper reporter for the Idaho Enterprise, served as a substitute teacher and volunteer aide for the Oneida County School District, had provided child care in her home and worked at the Oneida County Fair.

She was a member of the LDS Church, served as a teacher in Primary, Sunday school, and MIA, and was chorister in Primary and Relief Society. She was also Sunday school librarian, counselor in the Young Women’s presidency, Relief Society mini-class leader, and visiting teacher.

She is survived by her husband, Malad; one son, James Daniel, and one daughter, Rebecca Lynn, both of Malad; her father, Dugway, Utah; her mother, Kearns, Utah; three brothers and five sisters, Gene Jones, Salt Lake City; John Jones Jr.., Kearns; Bob Jones, Salt Lake City; Doris Edwards, Kearns; Linda Jones, San Diego, Calif.; Grayce Hopkins, Salt Lake City; Donna Jean Hill, Westland, Mich.; Ramona Romaro, Kearns; and four stepbrothers, Steve, Andrew, Ron and Scott Dolle.
