TREMONTON, Ut.-Joy Earl Abbott, 83, died Wednesday, April 19, 2000, at Malad, Idaho.

He was born February 16, 1917, in Paradise, Utah, a son of Jacob Davis and Grace Ellenor Oldham Abbott.

On March 1, 1921, he married Dona Emma Rose in Malad, Idaho. She preceded him in death on June 5, 1992.

He was reared and educated in Brigham City, Utah, and was a farmer all of his life. He lived in Tremonton until 1996, when he moved to Malad.

He is survived by three children; Donald E. (Rita), Tremonton; Judy Kay (Jack) Mieure, Tremonton; and Myron J. (Leslie), Littleton Colorado; 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 24th at 3:00 p.m. at the Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111North 100 East, Tremonton. Friends may call on Monday from 1:00 to 2:45 p.m. at the Funeral Home.

Interment will be at the Tremonton Riverview Cemetery.
