JOHN H. THOMAS

HONEYVILLE, UT – John H. (Huck) Thomas, 80, died September 28, 1990 at Brigham City Community Hospital after an extended illness.

He was born Nov. 9, 1909 in Malad to John C. and Margaret Bennett Thomas. He was reared in Juniper and Tremonton, Utah, graduating from Bear River High School. He lived in Grass Valley, CA and Brigham City, UT before moving to Honeyville, UT in 1961.

He married Inez M. Reeve on Nov. 23, 1932 in Brigham City.

He worked as a building contractor and in commercial roofing. He retired from Hill Air Force Base, Utah in 1974.

He was a charter member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Malad, and an active member of the Ogden, Utah lodge for 35 years. He was a member of the Honeyville First Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Surviving are his wife of Honeyville; two sons, John Thomas, Roy, UT and Stanford Thomas, San Jose, CA; two daughters, Mrs. Joe (Lynne T.) Hunsaker and Mrs. Elbert (Saundra) Hubbard, both of Preston; 20 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; two brothers and one sister, Ralph Thomas, Harrisville, UT and Joe Thomas and Mrs. Leroy (Mary Lou) Thompson, both of Tremonton, UT. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be Monday at the Honeyville Ward Chapel, with Bishop Gary Packer officiating. Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery near Tremonton.
