John Clifford Gleed

GLEED, JOHN CLIFFORD

John Clifford Gleed, age 62, died January 22, 1978 in the Oneida County Hospital of a long illness.

He was born July 31, 1915 at Malad, a son of Henry and Emma Thorpe Gleed.

He married Helen Lamont, June 2, 1939 in Ogden; the marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple, March 17, 1965.

He was a farmer and an active member of the LDS Church.

Survivors include his widow of Malad; one son and two daughters: Gerald Gleed, Houma, LA; Miss Carma Gleed, Malad; Mrs. Rex (Regina) Coburn, Pocatello; seven grandchildren. Two brothers and five sisters: Hubert Gleed, Henry Gleed, Mrs. Frank (Anna Bell) Williams, Mrs. Wayne (Edith) Archibald, all of Malad; Miss Leola Gleed, San Matio, CA; Mrs. Arden (Erma) Denney, Sunset, UT; Mrs. Kay (Carol Dean) Hall, Inkom.

He was preceded in death by a son, John Clifford Gleed, Jr., July 12, 1973; and a sister, Mrs. Alvin (Vera) Smith.
