JIMMY LOREN STOKES

Jimmy Loren Stokes, 65, of Malad and longtime Curlew Valley resident, passed away on Monday September 26, 2005 at the Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello. He was born April 21, 1940 in Tremonton, Utah, a son of William LeRoy and Edith Mills Stokes. He was raised in Tremonton and attended Bear River Sigh (sic) School. He married Myrna Scott in the Logan LDS Temple and they were later divorced.

Jimmy had worked at Thiokol and Utility Trailer Co. He was forced to retire early due to ill health (Multiple Sclerosis). Jimmy is survived by 3 sons: Nick Stokes of Holbrook; Loren (Loriann) Stokes of Fielding, UT.; Earl (Heidi) Stokes of Plymouth, UT.; one daughter, Renee (Tuisani) Setema of Malad; 12 grandchildren; 2 brothers; Boyd (Maureen) Stokes of Malad; Ferron (Marilyn) Stokes of Garland, UT. He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, one sister and one grandson. Graveside services will be held at 12 noon in the Snowville, Utah, Cemetery. Friends may call at the Curlew LDS Ward Chapel in Snowville on Thursday from 10:00-11:30 am. Arrangements by Horsley Funeral Home, Malad.
