GREER, JESSE EDGAR

Jesse Edgar Greer, age 86, of Malad, died October 5, 1976 in a Pocatello nursing home of natural causes.

Mr. Greer was born March 16, 1890 in Trade, Tenn., a son of Benjamin and Cora Houck Greer. He was married to Bertha Evans on Sept. 11, 1912 in Malad. She died Oct. 30, 1956.

He was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church and was the oldest member of the Oneida County Chapter of the Modern Woodmen of America. Mr. Greer was a farmer, butcher and handyman.

Surviving are two sons and one daughter, Jess W. Greer, Live Oak, CA; S. Dick Greer, Whittier, CA; Virginia G. Quigley, San Francisco, CA; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two step grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.

Also surviving are one brother and three sisters, Charles Greer, Mrs. Octa Stevens, Mrs. Mary Holman, Mrs. Mildred Edwards, all of West Jefferson, NC.
