Criddle, Jess – 16, APR 1931

Jess W. (J.C.) Criddle, 64, of Idaho Falls, died Sunday, December 10, 1995, at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, Idaho Falls, of congestive heart failure.

He was born April 16, 1931, at Downey to Lorin and Mabel VanLeuvan Criddle. He attended schools in Downey and Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.

On January 14, 1950, he married Donna Marie Thomas at Malad. They were later divorced. He married Sandra Lee Denning Ball on December 4, 1976 at Idaho falls.

He retired in 1982 from the City of Idaho Falls Fire Department as battalion chief, and was the leader in various other organizations.

He was a member of the LDS Church. He enjoyed traveling, hunting, boating, fishing, and loved music. The past few summers he looked forward to fishing at Flathead Lake, Montana, with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, of Idaho Falls; five children, Scott and Gretchen Criddle of Iona, Susan and Frank Jarvis, Sandy Criddle and Alyn and Mia Criddle of Idaho Falls, Delynn Ball of Phoenix, Ariz.; a brother, Thomas Y. and Gayla Criddle of Pocatello; two sisters, Vera and Rex Evans of Pocatello and Lula Elber of Spokane, Wash.; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Graveside services will be Friday, Dec., 15, at the Downey City Cemetery at 1 p.m. The Family will visit with friends Thursday evening, Dec., 14, from 6:30p.m.-8:30 p.m. At the Buck-Miller-Hann Funeral Home, 825 East 17th Street in Idaho Falls.
